Where would a woman have to come from to have that much body hair naturally?
Not trying to sound like an asshole, this photo is lovely, I am just genuinely curious.
Hi there! Thanks for the compliment. :) I was born in the US and am a pretty vast mixture of different ethnicities, mostly European. The biggest chunk (1/4) and the heritage I feel the most connected to is Italian. My grandfather’s side of the family comes from Bari and Calabria in Southern Italy. :) Honestly, through my Body Hair Aware project, I have learned that (as I suspected) male pattern body hair on women is far more common than most people know because most of the women who have it hide and/or remove it with regularity and rarely discuss it. You would be amazed by the number of women (from many different backgrounds and ethnicities) who have messaged me who also have a great deal of body hair - even chest hair. It’s something humanity has rejected for so long, many people don’t even know it exists. I find this and the psychology behind it vastly intriguing.I love you, Tango ♥

14/04/2013: Measuring Up.
I fucking love stretch marks. I got them all over when I was on prednisone and now I’ve lost some weight they’ve crinkled and are cool textures.
I also love stretch marks, and the majority of the one’s I’ve accumulated over the years are from various drug therapies too. I’ve got very olive skin so they’re almost never this beautifully red and defined, mine are more silvery and plum, but I love the textures and puckers they leave behind.
I got a really nasty message yesterday about my breasts and truthfully, it is an area of my body that I have always struggled with.
Being fat and flat is really difficult sometimes. Clothes for plus size women are typically made for those with large breasts.
It’s hard for me to find other representations of my body even on tumblr.
I need to love my mammaries extra hard to make up for the negativity I feel towards them sometimes, and I will continue posting pictures of my body so my other flat fatties can have something to identify with.

The Nu Project is a series of honest nudes of women from all over the world. The project began in 2005 and has stayed true to the original vision: no professional models, minimal makeup and no glamour. The focus of the project has been and continues to be the subjects and their personalities, spaces, insecurities and quirks.
To date, over 150 women across North and South America have participated in the project. Without their courage, confidence and trust, none of this would have been possible. We are so thankful for their willingness to open their homes to us.
