If someone feels fat, you should be allowed to fucking feel fat. Don’t make it seem like what theyre feeling is invalid because theyre not technically fat. Anyways, fat is an adjective. Fat is something you have on your body. Fat is something that is on every nutrition label. If I eat a big slice of chocolate cake with ice cream and syrup then I can say “I feel fat” if I’d like. That doesn’t mean it’s okay to say it I’m a negative connotation but, that’s something every girl will have to learn.
Not even slightly.
I don’t give a shit how fat you feeeeeeel. Oppression is not about your feelings. It’s about the fact that some people actually are fat and it’s a fucked up thing to analogise fat to ANYTHING OTHER THAN ACTUALLY BEING FAT.
Check yourself, you fucked up hard there.
Exactly.
“I feel fat”, especially coming from a thin person, brings with it negative connotations of having overindulged or gorged yourself on food, therefore reinforcing the stereotype that all fatties eat all the food all the time - and that you feel like one of those fatties.
“Fat” isn’t a feeling. It is a word that describes the size and shape of a body. It is an identity. It is a thing.
I don’t “feel” fat - I AM fat. So please don’t appropriate my identity and the body I exist in as a way of expressing your discontent with overeating.
To put it in simpler terms- Fat is not a feeling, nor will it ever be.
^^^ yes and the mental illness part… it’s not funny, and it’s not okay.
^ i agree with you. Js.
While I understand the entire argument going on here please remember that you can feel fat. That your body and warped...
The bolded part…
