Continuing on with the body positivity theme for the New Year’s Revolution, until it’s the 2nd of January all over the world.
It’s not that I disagree with the language or the message, or this campaign in general. It’s just that it’s so goddamn cliché.
I don’t want a poster telling me what I am or am not. Telling people they need to love themselves and their bodies will more often than not turn them away from wanting to do so. That may be just me, I don’t know. What speaks to me isn’t the same as what speaks to my audience.
This is just me trying to figure out the tone and language I want to use in my own creative body positivity endeavors, no offense is meant to Love Your Body or anything related.
Next: Define my audience. Don’t direct, but suggest.
Identity is not superficiality or skin deep. You are more than you know.
